Esthetic

I DON'T REALLY WANT TO THINK ABOUT THE FUTURE BECAUSE THE WORLD IS LITERALLY ON FIRE AND THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST YEAR OF MY LIFE, BUT CONSIDERING THAT THIS IS THE LAST BLOG "LE VOY A PONER EL COLOR".

PS. YES, I'M SHOUTING !!!!!

As I said before my frustrated dream is art, because I have always wanted to develop myself more as an artist, but before I was afraid because I thought I had no talent. Nowadays I know that I don't have talent (🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣), no lie, today I know that there are other ways in which to evolve in art, not so much physically but intellectually.

That's why I would like, after finishing my degree in journalism, to try to get a degree in aesthetics at Universidad Católica, because I believe that the course program is "la raja" and not only does it help you develop as a visual artist but also to internalize yourself in their philosophy, which I personally find wonderful.

I will probably have to work to pay for my degree, so I would accommodate studying part-time (I HOPE I WILL NOT DIE IN THE ATTEMPT). Although I believe that after already passing one degree, one already has "cuero de chancho" to handle stress.

I have already decided that I will not take the option of the CAE, since I would prefer to sell my organs on my own free will, instead of having them stolen by the State.

I still don't understand why we fucking pay to be educated. EDUCATION SHOULD BE FREE, BECAUSE IT IS A BASIC RIGHT OF EVERY INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS THE WILL AND WANTS TO DO IT.

Work !?

In the past, I thought my dream job was to be a magazine editor, in other words, I wanted to have a job that balanced both artistic aspects and criticism. I wanted to write about trends, controversy and issues that affect society and expose or report about new people through interviews. But, now I just want to finish this year.

Nowadays I haven't been thinking about working. I believe that the conditions in that world are very difficult and I don't want to think about my future.

I know that my dream job doesn't exist, because the magazine format is disappearing due to the virtualization of the media.

I don’t like working in an office because I believe it is very boring. For that reason, probably, I will look for a job in which I have to travel or move a lot because I don't want to stay in an office.

Now, the only idea I have in my mind is that I want to study artistical aesthetics, after finishing my Journalism program, because I think that is important to keep up studying. In addition, I want to fill my artistic void.

It may be because I've always been interested in the role of an artistic director. I think it's a well paid job, it also seems very fun and dynamic, but I don't have any hopes for my future.

Twitter thread about the “aserejé” song

I didn’t know what to write about in this post. The truth is that my brain is fried... In the end, I decided to talk about a Twitter thread. A long time ago, I saw this twitter thread that blew my mind and it talked about the ASEREJE song.

I believe that all of us know this song ( TEMITA DE LOS NOVENTAS).

The song is about a dude who’s been wandering around the street. He goes to a club where he knows the DJ and the DJ plays his favorite song …… and here is where the twitter theory is born: the boy that ordered the song apparently doesn't know its lyrics.

The twitter thread said that it’s not true that the guy doesn’t know the lyrics. But actually he was so drugged that he couldn’t pronounce it clearly. So, the twitterer comes to the conclusion that the favorite song of Diego is Rapper’s Delight by The SugarHill Gang…

I don't know if it's true, but it makes a lot of sense to me!!!!!

Just listen to the two songs and you will see how similar they are.

In any case, I don't know about you, but for me with my level of pronunciation, I wouldn't have had to be drugged to sing it just as badly as Diego did.

Art

The truth is that I didn't know what to talk in this new post, but to continue with the theme oriented in my “passions,” I decided this time to focus on my main hobby.

I think that one of my favorite hobbies, that I have always had in my life, is art. Since I'm a girl I always liked drawing and the colors. I have a collection of colored pens, but I believe that the majority of the children have it had, although I mine, I still have it.

In my life, I have had very few opportunities for to develop myself in this area, by which I always thinking that I haven’t talent, until my 15 years, when I started paint in oil. In those years, painting was my way out because the art making me feel very good...well , And that made me forget the fact that if I was talented or not to paint However, although I try to follow painting I can’t do it because I have very little time for this hobby.

How to transform the worst day of my life into the best day

The best concert I had in my life was Lollapalooza 2019, because with my friend (Aillen) from university, we managed to enter the festival illegally.  It all started because we really wanted to see C. Tangana, a Spanish artist who sings trap and has a very good sense of aesthetics, the problem is that he had only come to Chile for this concert so there was no doubt we has to see him.  He was going to perform on Sunday at the Lollapalooza.

In parallel, due to the high costs and the lack of time to get the money, we decided to buy second-hand bracelets (bad idea), in the end it turned out that they scammed us but we discovered it when we arrived at the entrance of the festival and they did not let us enter. It was horrible, even though we must have doubted the  because of how cheap the bracelets were, we decided to believe in the illusion that we had found the needle in a haystack.

Anyway, between despair and wandering from door to door on the outskirts of O'higgins Park, we discovered that the bracelets were blocked after leaving the festival, so we devised a strategy that consisted of me acting as if I was sick. When the bracelet was denied we explained at the entrance that we had to go out due to my health to look for medicines and I did not want to miss the festival after "practically paying the entrance price with an organ", surprisingly they believed us, I don't know If it had been my face or the fact that I had a bag of medicines in my bag (which I always do since I suffer from many headaches and gastritis when I get stressed), that they even gave me water to try to “stabilize” me.  After a few minutes to help me, they told us where the nursing was in case I “felt bad” again and they let us in.  After we got away from the door we ran to meet another friend from university(Gaby) who at that moment was watching the performance of Polima Westcoast (Chilean Trap) and we left for the C.Tangana stage to be able to be upfront.  I don't know if it was the adrenaline rush from everything that had happened in a short lapse of time or the fact that we were upfront to see the artist we loved and hear a lot of people sing his songs, but I will certainly say that I reached nirvana.  The best of all was that after we saw Rosalia, we listened to Sam Smith while sitting in some armchairs that had a privileged view while we danced, I won an award without doing anything and finally and after years of teenage passion I could see The 1975 and The Arctic Monkeys.

THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!!

The World´s Best Place by me

If I’m being realistic, I want to visit different countries, because I wish to see different cultures and be able to see various types of landscapes from those I can see in my own country. But if I had to choose between all, I'd choose Spain. The reason why I'd choose this country is because it has many cultures (thinking that this country has a massive quantity of immigrants that arrive at their frontier from different parts of the world, although the most of them are usually of Arabic origin). Another reason why I want to go to Spain is that it is a country in which I can speak Spanish, since it is its native language. That is very good for me, because it is very difficult for me to learn other languages.

In addition, Spain is the country in which I would be interested to study my other passion, that is art history, since this country has a big history about this culture ambit and I believe that this is a factor that may give me better tools to develop as a professional in this area in the future (thinking that, in this country many artists were born, such as Picasso, Dalí, Velázquez, Miró, Gris, between others). Moreover, this is a country that has a frontier with France and I will be able to go visit it more easily, because there exists a train that connects these two countries (thinking that France is other of the places in which art is one of the most striking areas of the culture), without letting outside the fact that this same train may take me around all the European Continent or get me close to others countries that I want to visit in the future too, either to study or out of curiosity.

PD:I say that I would like to go to Spain because I want to know various cities of this beautiful country, although maybe the one that most catches my attention and is my priority is Barcelona.

Romeo + Julieta

I remember that the first time I saw Romeo + Juliet was 13 years old and I had already read Shakespeare's novel.  Personally I had not been fascinated by the book, but the screenplay of this film blew my mind.  In those years I did not know Baz Luhrmann, director of the film,   but the richness of the images and his baroque and grotesque style, made me fall in love with his work after seeing this film in which he maintained the essential romance of the characters but modified the character’s context, making the Capuletos and Montescos families a gang of thugs that confront through the territory of "Verona Beach" a city that would be the mix between Miami and a typical city in Mexico such as Monterrey or Mexico City.

I have always considered myself a person who focuses on the aesthetics of the movies, that's why I love classic films that maintain an essence that is very difficult to see in today's cinema, although I must admit that Romeo + Julieta is not at all  a classic film, although its script is, its aesthetic is totally contemporary.  A film so well thought on an aesthetic level that I personally think it’s made to never take your eyes off of it. Its neon lights, its Mexican colors and aesthetics and its intentionally chosen wardrobe are some of the highlights of this film, which  has great performances by Leonardo Dicaprio (Romeo), Claire Danes (Juliet), Harold Perrineau (Mercury) and John Leguizamo (Theobald).

The scene I love most about this film is the party in which Romeo + Julieta is known, since the decision of the director to make it a hidden costume party is a sense of reflecting the essence of each character, positioning Julieta as a virginal angel, Romeo as a knight, Theobald as the devil and Mercury as a transvestite, subliminally inscribed on the scene the perception of the characters that the director had. Plus I find fascinating that all the verses that Romeo utters before and during the party are justified by the fact that Mercury gave him an LSD before going to sneak into the event of the Capulets.
